Lutter Joi inics Dr. Becky LuRer has joined the staff at Burke Veterinary Clinic and Gregory Animal Clinic. Becky grew up in Gann Valley, SD attend- ing K-12 at Wessington Spings and received her Animal Science degree from SDSU in 2011. In 2015 she graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State Uni- versity. Dr. LuRer sarted working at the Burke Veterina'y Clinic and Gregory Animal Clinic on February Ist and will be taking care of large and small animals. Dr. LuRer is currently living with Jerry & Elaine Peterson, Elaine is Becky's Dad's Cousin. She is look- ing forward to meeting people in the community and is glad to be here. She is excited to join Dr. Straight and Dr. Rowan and learn from them. NORMA FERNAU Continued from Page 3 SD, and Tammy (Greg) Lingen of Luverne, MN. Grandchildren include John (Nicole:), Jeff (Kim- bedy), Heifft (Andrew), Melanie, l .l.(Rose) ,Christina, Josh, Jenelle, Levi (Ashley), Dusty (Missy), Ker- ry (Tiffany), Chelsi (Trevor), Jonah (Rachel), Jocilan (Daniel), Jasmine and 21 great grandchildren. Also survived by her brother Jim (Don- na) Haney; her sister in law Vesta Haney; her brothers in law Bill Fer- nau and Daryl Fernau, and sister in law Merna Mac Venker and many nieces and nephews. Norma was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Florence Haney, her in laws John and Merna Femau, her brother Lyle Haney, her sister in law, Lee Fernau, grandson Jared Lingen and great granddaugh- ter Mariana Krempges. Dinner March 20th The Burke Senior Citizens will host their monthly Birthday/Anni- versary Dinner on Sunday, March 20th, at 12 Noon at the Senior Citi- zen Center. Please bring your fa- vorite potluck dish to share. Memorial Services Held In Rapid For Melinda HoUingsworth Memorial services for Melinda Hollingsworth were held on Fri., February 26, 2016 at Kirk Funeral Home. Inurement will be held at a later date at Mount Hope Cemetery in Springview, Nebraska. Melinda Marie Hollingsworth, 37, of Rapid City, passed away on Mon., February 22, 2016 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. She was born in Rapid City, SD on August 8, 1978 to Gayla Krueger Schlei and Herbert Dale Hollingsworth. Melinda graduated from Rapid City Central High School. Through- out her adult life she worked in the hospitality industry. She really en- joyed meeting people from all over the country and was always willing to strike up a conversation. In her spare time she had an ar- tistic side, doing arts and crafts with her children. She was an avid TV/ movie watcher and she could tell you all about Grey's Anatomy. She loved everything that was "as seen on TV", calling her mom frequently to tell her about the latest gadget she just saw. She idolized her sister that fed her frozen hot dogs, burnt peas and rice like Cambodians. That same sister also says Melinda was a total tattle tale. Her favorite niece, Alli~ ~shared her birthday, being bom on her thirteenth. Being a teenager, Me- linda wasn't so sure about this new baby stuff...but they soon became inseparable. Alli called her aunt "Geekee", her nickname for years to come. Melinda felt her greatest ac- complishments were her two chil- dren, Andrew and Devin. She loved spending time with them. One of the last things they did together was at- tended a RUSH hockey game. She tried every day to have times of making memories for her kids. She loved them with all her heart. Melinda is survived by her son, Andrew Green and daughter, Devin Hollingsworth; mother, Gayla Krueger Schlei; father, Herbert Dale HoUingsworth; stepfathers, Duane Schlei and Dallas Nix; sis- ter, Pamela (Quentin) Weyer and their daughters, Allexandra (Alli) Cole and Karli Weyer; half-sisters, Jacki (Scott) Harris, and their fam- ily Charli Withe, Brandon (Paige) Withe, Halley Harris, Brooklyn Harris, and Blake Harris; Nikki Hollingsworth and daughter, Laura Pound.
